Matewan makes progress on building rehab project

The community of Matewan has been participating in Hub programs since 2014, and during that time, we’ve been fortunate enough to work alongside a group of people who are dedicated to their town, its history, and its future. The community has worked to save the historic Nenni buildings for many years and partnered with Coalfield Development in 2018 to begin this transformational project that represents Matewan’s hard work, collaboration, and resilience.

At The Hub, we always say that community development takes time, and that big risks and persistence can lead to big rewards. This is just one of many rewards Matewan has reaped. We’re so excited to see this project evolve in the future.
