WVU initiative to help communicate local impact and attract investment – You’re invited!

How do community developers attract resources, engage more volunteers and local leaders, and promote the value of our organizations’ investments in the region and across West Virginia? How could shared metrics help us all promote our work and tell a cohesive story of collective impact?

WVU wants to learn from your experiences and expertise! Join West Virginia University’s Dr. Margaret Stout and Daniel Eades on October 29th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a virtual dialog to identify shared ways to measure impacts relating to West Virginia community development, and to learn how your community and organization can benefit from a shared language. Whether you are in the initial stages of identifying language for these impacts, or are an interested collaborator WVU wants to hear from you!

Community developers across the state are encouraged to reach out to Dr. Margaret Stout (Margaret.Stout@mail.wvu.edu) to get involved in this exciting and potentially transformative project. A detailed agenda and Zoom link will be forthcoming.

Read more about this WVU initiative, including the research and asset-oriented “community capital” framework that will guide the proposed Knowledge Commons, in this article on the WVU website.
