Blueprint Communities

 The Blueprint Communities of Bluefield, Hinton, Marlinton, Princeton, Richwood and Sophia gathered together on April 4-5 in Beckley for the first official workshop to continue working toward developing a community plan.  Blueprint team members took in a series of speakers each dedicated to helping communities make positive change and achieve viable outcomes.

Six Community Performance Coaches were certified at the workshop. Ann Conlan, Josie Cuda, Carl Marcum, Marilyn McKeown, Eric Poires and Barbara Wyckoff were presented certificates noting their completion of the certification program. 

The next Blueprint workshop is slated for May 30
The May session will focus on developing a civic engagement plan for each of the teams. 


Blueprint Communities Continues!
 
The highly successful Blueprint Communities initiative, which was launched in West Virginia in 2007 is back!
 
FHLBank Pittsburgh, in partnership with the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation and the West Virginia Community Development Hub, has announced the initiative's return for 2013!
 
Six communities have been selected, with priority given to communities in the 12-county region around the Summit Bechtel Reserve.  Top priority will be given to communities in Raleigh, Fayette, Summers, and Nicholas counties.  Second priority will be given to communities in Wyoming, Mercer, Greenbrier and McDowell counties. Third priority will be given to communities in Pocahontas, Monroe, Webster, and Boone counties.
