BY DAN TAYLOR ENERGIZING ENTREPRENEURIAL COMMUNITIES PROGRAM COORDINATOR, THE HUB
As coordinator of The Hub’s Energizing Entrepreneurial Communities program, it is important that I to keep up to date on what is happening within the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the state. So, I was very excited to learn about the June 2018 grand opening of CoWorks in Huntington, WV, the city’s first coworking space, a vital piece of the current downtown resurgence happening there.
Revitalizing the old Chase Bank offices on 5th Ave, CoWorks is a flexible workspace for entrepreneurs, non-profits, remote workers, small businesses, and more. Their rates start at $20 per day or $75 per month, and $150 for your own private desk. Office space is also available for $300 to $400 per month. They also have shared conference room and event space, as well as free coffee for members and podcasting equipment and training, donated by local podcast legend, Justin McElroy.
CoWorks is partnering with the WV Small Business Development Center on a series of free Business Fundamentals courses.
