Hub staff hard at work in Whitesville.
Did you know, if you make a donation of $500 or more to The Hub, you can receive half of your donated amount back in state tax credits?
That’s good news for you (because, come tax time, who doesn’t love a few tax credits?). It’s also good news for The Hub, because it provides a really powerful incentive for people to support the vital work we do in West Virginia’s communities that need help the most.
The tax credits come through the Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP), which was established by the West Virginia Legislature in 1996 to increase charitable giving to local nonprofit organizations that serve low-income people in highly distressed communities.
Businesses and individuals who contribute to $500 or more to NIP organizations, such as The Hub, are eligible to receive up to 50 percent of the contributed amount in the form of state tax credits.
If you’re interested in donating to The Hub and securing hundreds of dollars in state tax credits this financial year, just email me at l.henry@wvhub.org. I’ve got all the details, and would be happy to work with you on a contribution that matches your budget, and the type of work you want to support.
Happy tax season? Happy giving season!
