BY EMMA PEPPER, DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC NETWORK COMMUNICATIONS, THE HUB
Are you a nonprofit that is ready to dig into skillbuilding around telling the story of your work? The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation and 84 Agency are teaming up to put on a storytelling training in Charleston called Telling Your Story: Leading With Values-Based Communications. The training will be offered on May 1 and May 2, and lunch will be provided for all attendees.
From the organizers:
Nonprofits have amazing stories to tell. But the pressures of providing services, managing staff, and working with your board can make storytelling just one more thing on your long list of to-dos. In addition, nonprofits are sensitive to the confidentiality of their clients and can feel challenged to tell stories that are empowering and respectful. Yet we know storytelling can be transformative—it can grow our volunteer base, help fund our mission, and even change the culture of our community.
Come learn from 84 Agency, a creative solutions and consulting firm based in Charleston, WV, about how mission-driven organizations can tell compelling stories to connect with people and deepen their impact.
