
Richwood community kicks off the HubCAP program in their area

Hinton has been chosen to participate in West Virginia Community Development Hub’s Community Action Plan (HubCAP).
The program will partner the City of Hinton, Summers County, local citizens and representatives from the Development Hub to achieve a data-driven community project.
Community members are invited to give their opinion of a project they would like to see completed at a kick-off party in November.
Projects must focus on building redevelopment and business recruitment.
“We think it’s going to help jump-start a few small initiatives that may steamroll into some larger things,” said Cris Meadows, Hinton’s city manager. “Some more retail downtown and some more tourism-related business.”
