The Food Justice Lab at West Virginia University is currently recruiting fellows for the 2019 Summer Appalachian Food Justice Institute.
The Appalachian Food Justice Institute (AFJI) provides educational opportunities for food system change in West Virginia and Central Appalachia through the lenses of social and economic justice.
The 2019 AFJI Summer Institute will run from May 13-June 21 2019 and participants can earn up to 12 college credits in 6 weeks.
- Food Justice Leadership Program (various locations in West Virginia, travel provided);
- Food Policy and Research (online);
- Community Food Planning and Development (online); and
- Food System Development Practicum (host site in Talcott, WV).
The deadline for consideration is January 31, 2019.
