Williamson- WV
The Town of Williamson, WV will be launching a campaign like no other crowdfunding campaign has before, with an approach to bringing communities and cities together. This grassroots level campaign aims to make Williamson and Central Appalachia sustainable and economically diverse, as well as framing the strategy as a worldwide community effort and creating a movement of not just individuals, but communities, to see sustainability in central Appalachia possible.
On February 26th, Williamson will be launching its Community Action Kit that will serve as the informational packet sent out to communities around the country who will then host events to support Sustainable Williamson's campaign, as well as giving their community an opportunity to discuss how they can become more economically diverse and sustainable.
The Sustainable Williamson Campaign Tour across the East Coast is going to places like DC, Boston, Pittsburg, Boone (NC), etc, beginning in Charleston, WV on March 2nd with a Campaign Launch Party...
Throughout the campaign, a half dozen different videos on the Six Components of Sustainability will be released. These can be used as examples for other communities about how they can take action and work in tangible ways to make their communities sustainable, as well as video updates from the tour.
