Music, art, and food from around the world will once again converge in a multicultural whirlwind at the 8th Annual Culturefest World Music and Arts Festival, September 8-11 at the Appalachian South Folklife Center in Pipestem.

The festival will feature: world music, dance, performance art, workshops, artisan vendors, drum circles, a kids’ village, healing arts, camping, community art projects, a parade, open mic, and an “after hours cabaret.”

The distinctive sax tunes of Ravi Coltrane, son of legendary saxophonist John Coltrane and jazz pianist Alice Coltrane, will fill the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton on Friday, September 16, at 8 p.m. Coltrane will entertain audiences in this one-time-only performance accompanied by the Ravi Coltrane Quartet.
