BY KAYLA YOUNG, BOSS BABES WV
Boss Babes West Virginia has sprung from idea to reality over the course of the last year and a half.
Through civic engagement, meetups, panels, and discussions, our programming is a facility of opportunity for thousands of women in West Virginia. Community building and supporting gender equity has a positive impact on the society and our local economy; we believe in working with partners that share this goal and push for building community infrastructure around women and women-owned entities. We want to provide a hub for women with the space, network, and support platform to fulfill their ambitions in West Virginia.
Join us at 11 Railroad Avenue in Alderson on Thursday May 31 as part of New Story for a panel discussion entitled “Boss Babes WV: Innovation in Appalachia”. Distinguished women movers & shakers from our area will examine innovation in business and community, and discuss their personal journeys as a woman in our region.
The panel will feature:
- Jennifer “Tootie” Jones, Lewisburg WV, Owner of Swift Level Fine Meats
- Natalie Roper, Charleston WV, Executive Director of Generation West Virginia
- Sarah Arnold, Parkersburg WV, Owner of Clutch MOV
- And more
Moderated by Kayla Young, founder of Boss Babes WV, we will speak to all aspects of innovation in our region. Questions from the audience will follow the conversation. This event is all-inclusive & everyone is welcome! Panel is free.
