Opportunities like these don’t come along every day.
Right now in West Virginia, two of the state’s leaders in community development and civic engagement are entering periods of transition. Both are seeking new leadership they hope will continue the growth and success of their organizations and, more importantly, of West Virginia.
The first is The Hub.
Kent Spellman was The Hub’s founding Executive Director, and he has been an integral part of the community development scene here for many years.
Replacing him will be a challenge, and so The Hub is casting the net far and wide to find just the right person. Local or interstate, public or private sector, an old hand or new to the game – we are keeping our eyes, and our minds, wide open to make sure we find that very special mix of qualities it will take to lead The Hub into the new era that awaits.
To learn more about The Hub’s Executive Director opportunity, dive in to the job description. If you think you, or someone you know, would be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you.
The second is the West Virginia Center for Civic Life, which is seeking an Associate Director to, among other things, lead the development of the “What’s Next, WV?” statewide community dialogue initiative.
Do you long for conversation that wakes up your mind, appeals to your passion, moves you to action? Do you care what happens in your neighborhood? Are you looking for others that care too? Do you harbor a hope that ordinary people can change things for the better?
Then take in some more information about the position, and reach out to the good folks at the West Virginia Center for Civic Life.
You never know where these conversations could lead…
