We are very excited to announce that community members of Cowen, WV and Moorefield, WV have been selected to participate in The Hub’s Cultivate WV program!
Residents of these communities submitted applications and welcomed Hub team members for site visits as part of a competitive process to be selected for this opportunity. The final communities were selected by an independent committee.

Cultivate WV resident teams will unearth challenges and carry out ideas to overcome them in support of an engaged, thriving community. The process will be facilitated by the team at The Hub, and driven forward by the community members themselves so that the solutions and ideas put forward by participating teams are unique to the individual area. Residents will be connected to outside resources along the way to ensure their success.
Cultivate WV builds a community’s ability to: engage and mobilize residents; promote community projects and events; develop the town’s infrastructure, such as downtown buildings; grow their entrepreneurs and small businesses; and secure funding for small and large-scale community improvement projects.
We are looking forward to bringing you updates here on The Hub’s blog about the progress the community teams are making. Stay tuned, and if you aren’t signed up for our email list, click here to join and get these updates sent to your inbox.
We extend our most gracious thanks to the members of the selection committee for this program for their time and effort: James Bush, Hannah Gurtis, Tom Hart, Katie Loudin, Adam Pauley, and Dan Taylor.
