BY DAN TAYLOR, ENERGIZING ENTREPRENEURIAL COMMUNITIES PROGRAM COORDINATOR, THE HUB
Two communities participating in The Hub’s Energizing Entrepreneurial Communities program have had outstanding success in business growth recently.
Lincoln County led the state for new business growth in September of this year, according to West Virginia’s Secretary of State office, with five new businesses.
With all of the great activity in the county around the arts, outdoor recreation and local agriculture, there is much potential for new and exciting businesses for this area, which is less than an hour from both Huntington and Charleston.
Fellow Entrepreneurial Community Boone County had four new businesses open.
We are excited to enter the last year of the program with this positive trajectory for the two communities. Congrats to Lincoln and Boone Counties for all of their hard work and entrepreneurial success! We hope to see new businesses continue to grow into 2019 and beyond.
