Students at Sherman Elementary School will have some help using their bodies to stimulate learning thanks to an innovative teacher and a grant from McDonald’s.
Sherman Elementary was recently awarded a $500 grant by McDonald’s of the Tri-State through the Balanced, Active Lifestyles Grant Program.
The school is one of 25 in the Tri-State chosen as a recipient of a grant, according to a news release from McDonald’s.
The goal of the program is to encourage teachers to create educational programs that demonstrate an original approach to enhancing their students’ physical fitness, nutrition awareness, and health education. The $500 grants must be used toward implementation of the winning programs…
