If you’ve had questions about the vacant storefront in your downtown, an empty lot in your community, or even an abandoned industrial property, the BAD Buildings Summit can help to answer them. You’ll hear from experts and connect with community members from across the state, giving you the tools you need to be successful whether you’ve just started work on this issue, or are already working to make your community better by taking on this pressing challenge.
Learn how to rehabilitate Brownfields, Abandoned, and Dilapidated (BAD) Buildings in your community. Sessions will focus on topics including demolition, codes & ordinances, funding, resources, engaging stakeholders, and sustainable reuse options for vacant properties.
You can find the full agenda on the registration page for the event.
Interested in the policy side of the issue?
Join us a day early on Monday, April 6th, when WVU BAD Buildings will partner with the Abandoned Properties Coalition to host the APC Spring 2020 Convening. Attendees will learn more about the APC, its history, and the policy initiatives undertaken by the APC during the 2020 session. The convening is also an opportunity to help shape the focus of the future policy initiatives of the Coalition. All Summit attendees are encouraged to attend this free event.
