I am excited to share the news that this past Tuesday we officially kicked off the Young WV Power Building Conference at Marshall University.
Registration is still open and you can register here. Make sure to do it today because we are expecting a full conference and you don’t want to miss it.
It is very important for young people to get involved, not because they should, but because they want to.
If you know any young person between the ages of 15-25 who wants to see change in their community, then we want them there taking advantage of youth-led workshops on topics ranging from mental health access, racial justice, college readiness, foster care reform, and more!
Know a young person that is making a difference in our state? Nominate them now for a Young WV award! Nominations can be submitted here. The deadline for nominations is July 25.
We will also be launching the Young WV Policy Challenge at the Conference, which will give young people the chance to get their policy on the 2017 Our Children Our Future platform. If you have a policy idea, submit here.
See you at Marshall in August!
